I had a nightmare of a time getting Ubuntu Studio 9.04 to work properly. There were stability issues with the real time kernel, and I still haven't wrapped my head around how JACK works exactly. But I like Ardour, and I hope to give Ubuntu Studio another try in May, after the 10.04 LTS version comes out.

you can win the album "Hymns About Her" (retail version from cdbaby) in our current contest.

So why don't you buy this one ("To Get Home Before Night Comes") and maybe get the album of 2006 for free in the contest.

Thank you for your music and your blog entry

I'm not music expert but ordinary listener, so... I disagree with Martin poinion as well. This song is great to my ears. If you'll add some more instruments probably you'll damage this song. ...Your first song I ever heard was "Better Man". I found it on jamendo website (Polish versinon of this site). Then I thought - he's worth time of mine. Now I'm hearing others songs from "To Get Home Before Night Comes" album and I keep this word still and I'll be, I think. I'm sorry for mistakes in writing but you must understand - I'm not the English ;).

Hi... Just another one in the crowd, as I can see, I also discovered you playing Ultrastar. "Northern Star" is a really catchy tune, I can't get out of my head. Guess this Ultrastar thing really boosted your reputation... or at least the amount of people getting to know your music. Well done!

Many regards,
Bjarne, Denmark

This is a fantastic cover! I disagree with the other comment. Adding all of those other instruments and you might as well just get Tina Turner to sing it. This reminds me quite a bit of the Diane Birch cover of What is Love (you know, that horrible dance club song that was parodied on Saturday Night Live)... slowing it down and stripping all of the excess takes an overplayed song and gives it new life. I really enjoyed this version!
